STANDING TALL

Two people, entirely different, different in terms of background, in terms of business but one thing in common, want to excel in their business.

Mr. Anand Prakash Sikri got his business inherited by his father. His farther started this business of gold way back in 1972. He started it with a merger capital. He worked day and night to make it success, and then inherited it to Mr. Sikri who expanded its horizons. He surpassed his father and got into manufacturing and trading that to on a huge scale and now it is a concern having turnover of more than Rs.500crore and he is the president of Ludhiana jewelers association.

Now Ramadhar, a son of a tailor came to Ludhiana in 1984 having being told that it is city where dreams turns to reality. Initially he worked as a casual labourer with a dream to start his own business no matter how small that would be after all “king of hell is better than slave of heaven”. He accumulated some money and opened a betel shop. Slowly and steadily he started selling cigarettes etc as well, now his sales is more than Rs.2000 per day and he saves enough money to fund his son’s studies he never let his son to sit on the shop. He is content and happy with his life.

This tells that it is the hard work that pays. One should dare to dream, dare to try, no goal is too distant and no star is too high.
